As a member of the Purchasing team and reporting to a senior buyer, your main mandate will be to support the development of new parts as a procurement buyer, according to project and production deadlines, respecting the engineering specifications, quality assurance and supply strategies put in place. You will also have to support the creation of purchase orders in SAP according to the production schedule.
You will be responsible for:
– Obtain parts at the best total cost of acquisition according to the strategies determined by the organization;
– Influencing decisions by providing expertise in the supply and manufacturing capacity of external suppliers (speed, process and quality);
– Coordinate information between the supplier and engineering throughout the life of the purchased part;
– Assist the supplier quality assurance department when necessary in their communications with suppliers;
– Support initiatives related to the performance management of our suppliers.
